Working on my labor shirt

Since I'm going to be at the hospital for at least some of my labor (maybe), I've been working on a labor shirt or gown to wear for the labor and birth. I've always hated those hospital gowns that have the name of the hospital plastered all over them. Here's my current design. It's a plain white t-shirt with red letters:

What do you think?

I like it. You're not having a HB?

I'd vote for a very cute/sexy lingerie dress kind of thing--you know, one of those little dresses that ends mid-thigh, spaghetti straps, etc...something that makes you feel beautiful and something with lots of color. Vibrant red, maybe...That is about as opposite to hospital attire as you can get!

Love it!

This is probably not what you're going for, but if I were going back for a 3rd go around (that is a HUGE if BTW, 2 toddlers are crazy) I'd get one of those hospital gowns you can buy yourself. Like at shopbyog.com or girliegowns.com

why are you going there in the first place if you have to wear a sign?
just a thought.
birth someplace you are respected enough to not HAVE to wear a sign. or anything :)

you go girl! heck, for my first I wore nothing (I know, I shocked myself), and for my second I refused the gown bc I wore my own "labor" outfit. haha

Very nice! I took my own shirt to wear during labor. My water ended up breaking, though, and soaked it. I then had to change into a hospital gown :( (which ended up okay since I had a c-section).

So make sure you take 2 or 3 shirts, just in case one gets wet from your water breaking, or throw up, or anything else!

Damn! I wish I'd thought of that with my first!
